We are privileged to support many families each year at their time of loss. While arrangements are typically made through funeral directors, our clergy team meet with the person's loved ones to ensure services are personal and reflect the person's life.
There is lots of information on church funerals on the Church of England website.
There are a number of ways to request a Christian funeral service when a loved one is cremated.
a full funeral service at the crematorium led by a Minister from the church
a funeral service in church, followed by a shorter committal service at the crematorium
a full service in church including committal with an unattended cremation
following a cremation, we can also offer a short service for the burial of ashes
All are Christian services which honour the deceased and commend them to God. At a time when cost may be a significant concern, they are not expensive options (ask your funeral director for details).
While neither church has an operational graveyard, services followed by burial are undertaken, with a short ceremony of committal at the graveside.
